What about Obama's criticisms on Ohio and Indiana?

Files under Indiana hay | Posted by admin

Sometimes a little criticism is good.. There are way too many good old boys killed by shotguns, snowmobiles, meth labs in trailers blowing up, bad moonshine, and jerry rigged hay balers, that it may be useful for a city boy to offer a little more class to the heartland. We've been starving for it for a long time.

I am from Ohio an what he said did not insult me. I will
not vote for Obama because he against private ownership of handguns and semi-automatic rifles. He is also too liberal
for me his voting record is the one thing he can't hide from.
I've said it before but if Obama was the only name on the ballot I would vote Present.

Obama's comment said that people were bitter about the economic climate and have no hope that the government will help them with their problems. They turn to guns and religion in frustration.
He clarified later and stated that he mean they vote on wedge issues (gun control, gay marriage) because they have no confidence that the government will help them in their daily lives.
I have relatives that live in Central Pennsylvania. They routinely talk about their economic problems. (alot of coal mining towns up there) they have local government officials that benefit from keeping the economy depressed up there. (ie. Alot of the families that own the coal mines, also are in government to protect their own interests) They will actively discourage high tech businesses from coming into the area because it would require them to increase the pay of their miners. They don't want to have competition for a workforce. So, outside of healthcare, there aren't any high skilled good paying jobs in the area. My relatives talk about this stuff alot but when it is time to vote, they vote for the candidate that say will protect their gun rights. Even if its the same guy that has been screwing the town for years.
I have no idea what it is but when I heard the comment from Obama all I could think was "He is absolutely right"

People are angry, and I don't think its an insult to them to say so.
